Issue Description
You have installed the Rainbow Desktop App and get following missing Qt5Core.dll error message when starting the app
Root cause:
a possible reason for this is that on your Windows PC, the files with extension .vbs are not associated to Microsoft ® Windows Based Script Host
Most of the time in error case, the file extension .vbs has been associated to Notepad instead of Microsoft ® Windows Based Script Host. This wrong association will prevent execution of some installation files and result in the issue described above
How to fix this issue:
To fix this issue you just need restore the good file association for file .vbs extension.
- Open Set default programs in Windows Control Panel
- find the entry .vbs and click on Change Program, then Select Microsoft ® Windows Based Script Host
- Click OK.
- If Microsoft ® Windows Based Script Host is not in the list you have to browse to C:\Windows\System32\ to find the program wscript.exe and select it.
- And last step is to uninstall Rainbow Desktop app and then to reinstall it.
