User provisioning via LDAP connector with Essential license
As described in Provisioning of company members via an Active Directory (LDAP Connector) – Rainbow Help Center (openrainbow.com) the LDAP connector allows synchronization of users from AD to Rainbow.
However, users can only be created with Business or Enterprise licenses.
This means there must be as many of these licenses as there are users at the time of the first synchronization, which is often not the case since not all users need a full license.
Instead of having to import users piece by piece and changing the license to Essential manually, it would be nice to be able to import users with Essential license at first synchronization and change to a different license later if needed.

Hi Benjamin,
Good day to you!!
Please be informed that the Rainbow paid licenses are required to import the users from the on-premise AD to Rainbow and will get error if there are no required licenses. There must be an enough licenses in Rainbow company.
As of now, the feature available is that if all the users are not required with premium licenses, based on the number of licenses the users can be synchronized or imported from Rainbow and can not import and changed it to Essential or freemium after import.
However, we will take this feature into consideration and may be implemented in the future.Thank you.Regards,Maheswaran Veeriah
