The management of missed calls does not seem as accomplished as the one proposed by Alcatel "OTC PC"
Hello,
The management of missed calls does not seem as accomplished as that proposed by our customer "OTC PC" (Alcatel Opentouch solution)
The ergonomics of this one seems easier to use and could be an evolution of what is done on the Rainbow client.
1st point: ergonomics:
on OTC PC: 4 buttons are visible (clear, acknowledge, All and Missed)
on Rainbow: 1 button and 2 filters "sort order" and "filter" in the form of "pick list" or "dropdown" menu
In your opinion, which of these two clients has an immediate and convenient interface for managing the call history?
I say OTC PC because no need to select a "pick list" for 2 actions, it does not make sense.
OTC PC is more simple to use everyday for missed called managment.
Notice that under Rainbow: a bug appears when we have chosen a filter, we can not find the state before without having to leave the tab call. Not very practical this "pick list" that disappears.
2nd point: management of missed calls
On OTC PC: the "missed" button makes it possible to immediately see missed calls that have not been acknowledged. The user thus has a very fast view of missed calls since his absence.
On Rainbow, the "missed" filter shows all the missed calls and those since the beginning of the installation of the application. The user thus has a more complicated view of recently missed events.
I will also say that the OTC PC better meets this need of management of missed calls
3rd point: acknowledgment of events:
OTC PC: the user can delete or acknowledge missed calls
Missed calls are also automatically acknowledged when the call is between the remote and the user (same for Rainbow)
Rainbow: The user can only delete individually (it does not seem very practical if you have a bunch of calls to manage) or simply delete everything (not missed more.)
OTC PC seems to have found a better approach in management by giving an "acquittal" notion that does not exist under Rainbow.
Regards,
Mark
