Uses of applications in rainbow and giving admin rights to the other users in a same company.
Hello,
I have used rainbow sandbox developer account with admin rights.
I found two different ways to create rainbow applications.
1/ After logged in to sandbox developer account, go to Developers tab-> Applications-> Create a new application.
2/ By using rainbow CLI commands which is described in the below link,
https://hub.openrainbow.com/#/documentation/doc/sdk/cli/tutorials/Managing_applications.
Please explain me the difference between these two applications.
General question: Please explain me the real time usages of creating different applications in rainbow.
Is it possible to have more than one admin and app_admin rights in a single company?
If yes, how to give admin and app_admin rights to the other users.
Regards,
Sunny

Hi Sunny,
Rainbow API HUB targets the Rainbow production environment. When you create applications using the Rainbow API HUB, they will be available for your users once deployed. This is the goal at this end. On that platform, you have fees.
Rainbow CLI is a tool that developers have to use to do the same on the Rainbow Sandbox platform. This platform is different and not connected to the Rainbow production platform. This platform is limited to developers who want to test our SDKs and API and start building their applications. When you create application on that platform, only your "test users" can use your application. On the Sandbox, application are automatically deployed. You have no fees when using that platform.
This is the normal way to use our tool. One for each platform.
But, additionally to that, you can use the Rainbow CLI to connect to the Rainbow platform and do the same as you do on the Rainbow API Hub. But in order to connect to the Rainbow production platform with the CLI, you need an application id and secret key as for all applications connected to the Rainbow production platform.
2/ When connected using a third party application, you can create more that one admin using our REST API.
3/ App_admin account is the right to create and manage applications. User doesn't need this right. This is limited to developers.
Hope this will help,
Regards,
Olivier
