Hello,

I have a doubt about deploying applications, I expose my case:

I'm the developer in a company who already have rainbow accounts and organization created before I arrive, now I developed one application in Sandbox environment and want to deploy it. In documentation guide about deploying says:

Going to Rainbow production platform implies the following action points:

• 1/ Owning a company

So, i have to be the owner of a company to introduce billing details and deploy applications? Can my organization give me the role to do it with no owner account? What can I do to deploy this applications 'inside' my company but without owner account? I have another solutions?

  Hi Jesus,

  I think documentation is not clear enough, I will try to enhance it.

  Let me explain: You need to have company_admin account in order to be able to create new Rainbow accounts.

  I don't know what kind of applications you built but if your application only reuse existing Rainbow accounts without creating new one, you don't need to be an admin of a your company. 

  You need to do that, if your application will create new Rainbow accounts: In that case, you need first a company_admin account for having the right to create accounts and then having a Rainbow company will let you hide your Rainbow accounts from others applications/companies. If you have access to that account, you can reuse it. If not, you can follow the guide to create your company and the company_admin account too.

  Thanks for your answer.

  At the moment this application don't need to create Rainbow accounts by himself but maybe in the future we need to do it in that or other applications.

  So, the best practice to manage all features is create new company? Is possible to ask rainbow support to 'elevate' permissions on my account inside my organization (to company_admin)?

  I have access to this account but it's in another person name and email, I think can't use it to develop.

  I know directly creating new company fix my problems but we have PBX extensions integrated and so much stuff here to test, maybe is not the best practice?

  Hi Jesus,

  You can start without having an admin account. Keep this point for your further needs and move to the next step. This will not block your deployment process.

  Depending on your needs (visibility of Rainbow accounts, compatiblity with Rainbow users...), different solutions could be put in place.

  Hi another time, I deployed first application with my main account inside my organization. Now I have application deployed and I have role user and company_admin, but with Appkey + secret and trying to login with my main account it throw 'Unknown application or wrong....'. Also I can't create new users, what I have to do to test with telephony and manage users?

  Hi Jesus,

  Did you modify your application to target the production and no more the sandbox ?

  Could you send me your logs in order to check what could be wrong ?
