The new favourites view is very useful but has a flaw, when you are scrolling down through previous conversations, below the 'My Favourites' the My Favourites box scrolls up out of view. If you don't remember to scroll down then you could miss IM notifications in 'My Favorites' as it is now out of view.

My suggestion is to fix the My Favourites box and when you scroll down previous conversations the My Favourites box stays in view.
