New Features
- Rainbow Attendant Console [Hybrid offer]
Effective 16th July 2023, the Rainbow Attendant Console for users connected to an OXE or OXO is now available. - Rainbow Attendant Console
For any Rainbow Attendant Console, Rainbow mobile client is enabled with the same behavior as for Business/Enterprise subscription concerning calls handling. - Bubbles & Web conferences
The talking time during a conference has been redesigned to give more complete information: first name / last name / company in front of the measured time. - Bubbles & Web conferences
Joining a conference via notification doesn't bring back the application to focus. - Communication
A new action allows a user with a deskphone to start a Bubble directly on the phone. The user gets audio on the deskphone and can join for the sharing / video and see other participants on the web in only one action. - Communication
The Business directory allowing now Internal numbers (RB Hub & Hybrid), these internal numbers can be clicked and called when the Business directory entry is searched and displayed. - eLearning
Elearning is widely available. Subtitles are now online for videos in some languages. - Hybrid telephony
When a colleague not in the user's contacts is busy, a P2P call initiated by the user is rejected with a busy tone for a limited duration of 3 seconds. - Hybrid Telephony
When Rainbow login is done with an URL rainbow, it's possible to specify on which page the user chooses to land on. - User experience
The first guest screen page has been redesigned for users to know exactly what to do at first glance (join as guest, join with an existing account in Web or in Desktop app). - User experience
Dial-in product has been added into the Rainbow store and is accessible by clicking on the menu behind your avatar. - User experience
Queue calls under no circumstances go to voicemail If an agent configures a forward to their VM, or for any kind of overflow (on busy, on no answer, on not available). - User experience
Users are able to stop the ringing melody of their devices without decline and to keep the call anyway (warning: concerns Sofphony only: if user got a Deskphone, this one will continue to ring). - Rainbow Hub
Join a conference without audio will not be proposed anymore when user switches devices from mobile to avoid error messages. - Rainbow Hub
On Attendant console multi-tab supervision , a ringtone can be played in addition to a notification to inform the user (out of busy/DND states) about new call events. By default, the option is off and can be activated in Settings / Notifications / Incoming Calls "Play a sound when the supervisee receives a call." - Rainbow Hub
Add-on modules EM20 Expansion (20 programmable keys) and EM200 Smart Expansion (5'' color LCD, 10 pages of 20 programmable keys) are supported by Myriad phones. The admin is able to add a module to a phone / create phone with module / manage keys. The user is able to manage keys. - Rainbow Hub
At the start of a conference, participants are called according to their device settings (on Apps in WebRTC destinations or on their deskphone when set as preferred destination). - Rainbow Hub
To avoid call spamming on hunting group, a blacklist of CLI, managed by the group admin & EC admin, divert incoming call to busy overflow message. The group admin can create a blacklist entry from the group call log. - Rainbow Hub
User can customize their voice mail by uploading an audio file as welcome announcement (.wav, .mp3, .ogg) and select it for any forward to voicemail. This option is available in user's settings from an admin page as well. - Rainbow Hub
Several error labels issued by trunks are now aligned on the Android's labels for sake of clarity (ie. 'The number you have dialed is not authorized', 'Sorry, the called number is not reachable. Please try again later', 'The dialed number is invalid', 'Your correspondent is busy', 'An error occurred while making the outgoing call'). - Rainbow Hub
A new action allows a user with a deskphone to start a Bubble directly on the phone. The user gets audio on the deskphone and can join for the sharing / video and see other participants on the web in only one action. - Rainbow Hub
A dedicated Tab is added in Bubble to list all calls of the groups (date/time, caller, answered or not, who answered, call duration). - (Coming soon) Rainbow Hub
To connect certain providers located in APAC region, several Rainbow components have been deployed in this area. They allow the full use of Rainbow Hub features (such as: CPBX with soft phone and desk phones, Desk phone Zero touch, Bubble's Dial-In, Bubble Call participants, Join by phone, CDRs). - Security
Rainbow supports Two Factor authentication using Time based One-Time passcode. Users with the right level of license will be able to enable an additional level of security at the login step. This option is made available upon administrator configuration in security screen at the company and/or user level.
Main Fixes
- Add participant
Adding a user found by their name to join a conference by clicking on 'add' was not adding anyone. Forbidden feature to some users was wrongly checked. - Analytics
After selecting a group, to change a period previously defined needed to open the calendar twice for providing the right result. Now the calendar is reset every time. - Analytics
An admin could not select users in audio quality tab of their own company, even if they could select the right analytic level. A menu was missing in the security tab. - Analytics
Audio quality could be displayed as 'unknown' for call issued from Web or Teams Connector. The mechanism recovering the data is operational for these clients. - Bubbles
The 'validation' button was missing when user wanted to add a bubble in a new bubble directory. The button has been added again. - Call log
Missed call history could be wrongly updated for a callback to a non-Rainbow user diverted to another destination. The call history reflects now correctly the missed calls. - Channels
Too many 'Anonymous' likes were displayed in channels. Information raised from backend side is now more accurate to provide with names when they are allowed to be resolved. - Firefox
The Option "Secondary Ringer" does not list any on board audio devices. This option has finally been removed as it's not possible to manage the output. - IM
IMs well received in IOS could be lost in web/desktop conversation. The synchronization is back. - Make a call
After making several calls, it could not be possible to call again. Desktop was shown a make call failure, web app sent an erroneous information (user already make call). This desynchronization is fixed now. - Office phone mode (OXO users)
The office phone option could be selected even though the users were associated to an 'any device' terminal. This option is no longer offered for such users to avoid any malfunction. - Pop-out
Clicking on image in popped-out conference opened it in the main application. Fixed: the image is displayed in the right window. - Pop-out
The user interface was not correct while using the pop-out in conference. When open pop-out, the right panel should be closed by default. - Recording
Menu to manage recordings was truncated in German language. Reviewed hyphenation in French to present correct text in a tooltip (over telephony settings icon). - Shared PBX
The access to the shared PBXs was no longer available in the admin page. These data have been reactivated for administrators. - Talking time
A display issue where talking times were not well aligned has been fixed. - Teams V3
In automatic start configuration for Teams and Desktop, the desktop app started but not in reduced mode. It's now hidden in background by default. - Teams presence
Unless 'Presence.ReadWrite' right was correctly managed, the Presence feature didn't work correctly. The issue was located in the user interface. - Voice mail
Users having an AVST voice mail could see 255 as number of new notifications in the tab name, instead of an incrementation of the number of new messages in the box. The counter has been reviewed to show the real number of new messages
Administration
- WEB ADMIN
• A new alarm can be raised in the equipment section of a BP admin page to inform the administrators that the WebRTC Gateway certificate will expire (orange lock) or has expired already (red lock) • Custom licenses can be displayed with an expiration date. • For safety reason, a confirmation popup is raised as soon as an administrator asks for a remote restart of the WebRTC gateway. • A user getting deleted by an admin is put in a transitory state for 10 days rather than in “terminated” state. This intermediate state allows the BP to restore the account and its data in case the deletion was one by mistake. - ANALYTICS
• In tab 'Voice' then ‘Groups’ key KPI for incoming calls, answered calls are developed. • In MOS tickets, the value chrome' is now differentiated between 'Chrome', 'Opera' or 'Edge' for more accuracy in the ticket. • In Global dashboard, an administrator is able to select which period they want to visualize, then compare and build a weekly or monthly dashboard on their own. - RAINBOW HUB
• New voice license is added "Voice Phone", offering the same level of service as the business license, but restricted to a phone. This license forbids the user to log into Rainbow (not to be granted to Rainbow admins!) • When an administrator creates a new Cloud PBX, the parameter "Allow call forward to external destination" is now set by default. • Phone key management is extended with new services (immediate forward with internal or external optional destination, switch from headset to handset, audio hub (when possible) to activate the service. • When VAD has disabled a trunk, this trunk is locked to the IRs (if already configured, it's still visible but can no longer be associated with any CPBX nor set up DDIs, if not configured, it won't be displayed in the drop list). • New voice license is added "Voice Phone", offering the same level of service as the business license, but restricted to a phone. This license forbids the user to log into Rainbow (not to be granted to Rainbow admins!) • DDI numbers can be deleted in bulk (with the exception of the company's default DDI)
