New Features
-
Bubbles
An invitation to a bubble now provides the name of the inviting person in the Bubbles tab for mobile devices and notification center for the Desktop app. -
Conference
When sharing the screen, if a video is played then the user can decide if the audio stream of this video is also shared or not through a checkbox 'Share audio'. -
Conference
Reconnection to a conference after a network disconnection has been improved. -
eLearning
eLearning feature is available with the relevant videos for Teams V3 users. -

Hybrid Telephony [Hybrid offer]
OXE users belonging to a hunting group can manage it from Rainbow commands: they can now enter/exit the group and get a status to know if they are in or out. -
Hybrid Telephony [Hybrid offer]
A new option in telephony settings allows the user to automatically redirect an incoming PBX call to voice mail or another internal number when already engaged in conversation (but not in DND). With this option, the PBX caller doesn't stay without answer. -
Hybrid Telephony [Enterprise & Rainbow telephony for Teams]
The CCD function is available in the upper bar of Teams application: Login/Logout & Wrap-up/Withdraw during agent session. -
Support
ALE-x SIP (basic range) & ALE-x00 (Enterprise range) can be selected as audio devices when connected to the PC/MAC Desktop application via USB. -
Security [Voice & Hybrid Enterprise]
Rainbow supports Two Factor authentication using Time based One-Time passcode. Users with the right level of license will be able to enable an additional level of security at the login step. This option is made available upon administrator configuration in security screen at the company and/or user level. -
User experience [Alert]
Emergency notifications displayed in a conversation have been improved (actions are better identified). -
User experience
The what's new is profiled in app according to the services available to the user and display only those features that are relevant to them. The what's new is built based on the latest features for which the user will be notified. -
User experience
While in conference the owner only gets 2 options to add temporarily members: 'call participants' and 'Call Rainbow Room' (if relevant) when clicking on the add participant icon. To be noted: add participant or room from the participant list is still available. In P2P call, the option to extend a call will be renamed 'call participant'. -
User experience
Call history icons have been redefined for a better understanding and a common appearance among Rainbow clients so that users always face the same icons for a same use case. -
User experience
SSO authentication renewal is anticipated so that users never end up being totally disconnected (unless they don’t use the app for a very long period). User is notified with a message "To maintain security, your Rainbow session will expire on . Please extend your session to stay connected." (Allowed answer: Continue / Later). -
User experience
Robustness has been improved when connecting to a conversation. -
User interface
The display of the name format is homogenized between applications in the Contact tab. -
Rainbow Hub [Voice offer]
At the start of a conference, participants are called according to their device settings (on Apps in WebRTC destinations or on their deskphone when set as preferred destination). -
Rainbow Hub [Voice offer]
In addition to searching by name and calling via a dial pad, the user can create (from a P2P call) or extend (from a bubble) a multi-party call using the call log. -
Rainbow Hub [Voice offer]
There is now always mention of the Group call when it is presented to a group member after having cross the AA. -
Call Out [Hybrid & Voice offers]
Call out capacity is based on the user who performs the call-out, not on those of the bubble's owner. Thanks to this enhancement, all complex configurations involving both hybrid and hub configuration allow call-out feature in every cases. * (Hybrid: In case of shared of setup with several PBX, the callout will be done from the PBX which has the default gateway even though the caller’s PBX has its own gateway. With versions: OXO R6.0 MD1 : ONE060/111.001 // OXE: no minimal version needed //available with WebRTC GW 2.3.4)
Main Fixes
-
Screen sharing
Desktop didn't show any more the red line highlighting the fact that the user shared their screen. Shared screens on Windows OS with known limitations, for example: Clicking on the taskbar/start-menu will hide the red border on that area because I have no control to overlay the border on the taskbar especially when clicking on it. -
Stop ringing without decline
The call window to stop ringing of an incoming call couldn't be closed. The implementation of this feature is now fully available in Desktop app.
