While having a conversation with a contact, you may record its content. The recording contains an audio file for audio calls and a video file for video calls. This file is an MP4 document (readable with several media players, e. g. VLC) that may be stored in your Rainbow storage or your personal computer.
NOTE: Only Rainbow users from Web and Desktop may activate the recording of a call. Rainbow users on Mobiles receive the call and are recorded, but they CANNOT activate the recording.
Click on the red circle in the middle of your contact banner.
Notice that the timer begins. You may pause and resume the recording at any time.
During the recording, the usual options for your call ("Add video media," "Share your screen," "Turn off your microphone" or "End the meeting") remain available.
Once you have terminated the recording, you may save it on "Your Rainbow Sharing" or "Your Personal Computer." Select the appropriate answer and click on the blue button "SAVE."
Information about this call (duration, date, timestamp) is displayed at the end of your conversation wall.

The recording is currently available for audio/video calls. We also planned to add this feature to the web conference, but I can't give an availability date yet.
Stay tuned to our production notes to make sure you don't miss any news! 😊
When I am using PC to do video calls I usually use AceThinker Free Online Screen Recorder to record them. But when I am using my phone I used the build in recorder on my phone.
