You'll need the WebRTC Gateway to link Rainbow and the PaBX.

    Hi Andrea,

WebRTC Gateway is mandatory to make VoIP call. I just added a note in the article about this requirement.

However you are able to enjoy the "AnyDevice" feature who just need a specific configuration in your equipment "OmniPCX Enterprise" or "OXO Connect".

Let me know if you need further information about this configuration.

    Hi,

the "AnyDevice" feature is what is commonly called Nomadic mode on "OmniPCX Enterprise" and "OXO Connect".

This means that the needed configuration on PBX side is the standard configuration to add nomadic mode to a PBX user. The PBX user needs attached to his desk phone a REX on "OmniPCX Enterprise" or an AnyDevice (Virtual Terminal) on "OXO Connect" (tandem/multiset configuration).

Today if you want to use the "AnyDevice" feature on "OXO Connect" you have to take into account following restriction:

On "OXO Connect", AnyDevice Terminal (VT resource) creation for a user is not automatically detected by Rainbow. Consequently, after managing AnyDevice Terminals on PBX side for the Rainbow users, a restart of the Rainbow agent is required from OMC for Rainbow to properly synchronize new multiset configurations. This will be fixed in a next Rainbow Solution version.

    Regards,

    Baptiste

I am happy to report that I have configured and tested the AnyDevice feature and it has performed as expected.

I created the AnyDevice Virtual, assigned it as the secondary set of the main extension and also set the main extension to Nomadic Mode in the Central Services of the main set.

I reset the connection to the Rainbow server as per the instructions and the new features presented themselves in the phone icon settings.

I programmed the Nomadic mode to my mobile - I initiated a call from the rainbow client to an external number, the OXO called my mobile number and when I answered it, it called the external number. I did this from the PC and the mobile. This also worked when dialling the 3 digit set number.

I also made a call to my main set and it was presented to my mobile with the CLI of my desk phone.

    Very good feature!

I assume that the "With Voice Over IP" setting in the Telephony settings on the iphone app will only work once I set up the WebRTC Gateway??

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for your feedback! We are glad to hear everything went well.
I confirme you the WebRTC Gateway is mandatory to make VoIP call from any Rainbow Apps (iOS, Android or Web/Desktop).

Feel free to contact us to confirm everything is working once your WebRTC Gateway is ready!

    Hi,

I saw the limit for VT on OXO systems is 50.  Does it mean that only 50 users can receive PBX calls to any telephone ( mobile, PC, deskphone ) ?

Also, is it possible to make calls from PBX deskphone to pure Rainbow user ?  If yes, any thing to note ( restrictions) ?

    Thanks.

    Hi

How to get the option 'Activate WebRTC Gateway' to appear in the equipment information, as well as the 'Early Adopter' option on the user account Services?

    Connection is OXO Connect3.0

    Thanks.
