Rainbow Hub features are available for Early Adopters.
This article allows resellers to configure the public numbering plan for a Cloud PBX associated to a customer company.
One or several ranges of public numbers can be declared for the Cloud PBX.
After declaring the public numbering plan:
- The first number of the first range of public numbers is defined as public number of the company.
You can:
- Change the public number of the company at any time.
- Allocate the public number of the company to a member.
- Public numbers can be allocated to company members (in addition to the internal extension number defined at creation)
Note: Company members without any assigned public number can still make outgoing calls. The public number seen by the called party is the public number of the company.
Declaring public numbers
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on the Public numbers tab.
- Click on Create.
- Enter the public number, or the first number of the range (canonical format is accepted).
- To create a range of numbers, select the Create a range of public numbers check box, and select the number of public numbers to create in the Range size field.
- Click on Apply.
The first number of the first range of public numbers is defined as public number of the company, and set to Yes in the Company phone number column.

Modifying the public number for the company
You can assign a new free public number to the company, or assign the public number of the company to a member. The public number of the company can only be assigned to one member at a time.
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on the Public numbers tab.
- Select Not assigned in the Assignation drop-down list to only display the available public numbers.
- Move your mouse over the target public number, click on and select Set as company phone number.
The selected public number is set to Yes in the Company phone number column.Note: If another public number was already defined as Company phone number, this public number becomes free, and can be assigned to a company member.
Deleting a public number
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on the Public numbers tab.
Note: You can limit the search to the public numbers assigned, or not assigned to company members, by selecting the corresponding option in the Assignation drop-down list. - If the public number to delete is the company phone number, you must first assign this feature to another public number of the list (see: Modifying the public number for the company).
- Move your mouse over the target public number, click on and select Remove public number.
A confirmation pop-up window opens. - Click on Remove to validate the deletion.
Note: VAD can enable or disable the creation of public numbers to their IR by going into the IR company > Communication > Public Numbers.
