This article allows resellers to configure manager/assistant groups in a Cloud PBX.
A manager/assistant group consists of one manager and one assistant.
The manager/assistant group allows an assistant to filter and pick up calls intended for the manager, and handle them on behalf the manager. According to his/her choice, the manager can receive calls, be notified only, and activate/deactivate call filtering by the assistant (from his/her deskphone only).
Any company member with an internal extension number and a telephone device can be configured as manager or assistant.
Creating a manager/assistant group
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on the Groups tab.
- Click on Create.
- In the Name field, enter the name of the manager/assistant group.
- In the Type field, select Manager/ Assistant.
- Click on Next.
- Enter the first letters of the manager name or email address and select the member of your choice in the list of matching entries, and click on Add manager.
- Click on Apply.
- Enter the first letters of the assistant name or email address and select the member of your choice in the list of matching entries, and click on Add assistant.
- Click on Apply.
The manager/assistant group is created and displayed in the group list.
Modifying a manager/assistant group
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on the Groups tab.
- Click on the target manager/assistant group and select the Members tab.
- To modify a member of the manager/assistant group:
- Move your mouse over the target member to modify, click on
, and select Remove member.
- Enter the first letters of the name or email address of the new member, and select the member of your choice in the list of matching entries.
- According to configuration, click on Add assistant, or Add manager.
- Move your mouse over the target member to modify, click on
- Click on Apply.

Deleting a manager/assistant group
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on the Groups tab.
- Move your mouse over the target manager/assistant group, click on
, and select Remove group.
- Click on Remove.
The manager/assistant group is deleted from the group list.
