Manage company themes

This article allows company administrators to manage customized themes for their company.

By default, two non-editable themes are available: a Light theme (selected when opening the the Rainbow application for the first time) and a Dark theme.

Light theme	Dark theme

These native (Light and Dark) themes also act as templates to create customized themes.

In a customized theme, you can:

• Add a logo at the bottom left of Rainbow applications
• Modify:
  • The background color of the navigation bar (for wide view) and top band (for reduced and mobile views)
  • The background color of the navigation bar for reduced view
  • The color of the icons in the navigation bar for wide view
  • The color of the active icon in the navigation bar for wide view

When there are native and customized themes, one of the Light themes must be defined as the default Light theme, and one of the Dark themes must be defined as the default Dark theme, for the company. If none is selected, the native Light and Dark themes act as default themes.

Prerequisite: To be able to configure customized themes, you must have established a partnership with a Rainbow reseller. This partnership allows you to obtain licenses and advanced services for your company, such as theme customization.

Creating a customized theme

1. From the Rainbow administration interface, click on the Manage your company icon at the bottom of the left panel.
2. In the left panel, click on My company, then Information.
3. Click on the Themes tab in the right panel.
4. Click on the plus icon  .
5. Select the theme (Light or Dark) to use as template and click on Next.
6. Enter the name of the customized theme (three characters minimum).
7. If needed, add a logo: move your mouse over the icon, click on Edit and upload the customized logo.
8. For each item to customize:
   1. Click on the colorful circle in front of the corresponding item.
      
      Note: When you move your mouse over a colorful circle, the corresponding item flashes in the different views of the side panel.
      
      A color selection pallet is displayed.
      
   2. To select a color, you can either move the cursor in the different colorful blocks at the top of the window, or enter the color code (hexadecimal or RGB), or select one of the proposed color at the bottom of the window.
      Note: The side panel gives a real-time overview of the changes.
   3. Click on OK.
9. Click on Create.
10. If needed, click on Yes to define the customized (Light or Dark) theme as default (Light or Dark) theme for the company.

The customized theme is displayed in the Custom themes panel.

Modifying a customized theme

1. From the Rainbow administration interface, click on the Manage your company icon at the bottom of the left panel.
2. In the left panel, click on My company, then Information.
3. Click on the Themes tab in the right panel.
4. Move your mouse over the three vertical dots in front of the target customized theme and select Modify.
5. Modify the logo and/or the color of each item according to your needs (for details: see: Creating a customized theme).
6. Click on Update at the top right of the window.

Defining a customized theme as default theme for the company

1. From the Rainbow administration interface, click on the Manage your company icon at the bottom of the left panel.
2. In the left panel, click on My company, then Information.
3. Click on the Themes tab in the right panel.
4. Move your mouse over the three vertical dots in front of the target customized (Light or Dark) theme and select Make this theme the default Light theme or Make this theme the default Dark theme.

The default theme is indicated by the icon:

Forcing a customized theme to all members of the company

This operation only applies when a customized Light theme and a Dark theme have been set as default themes for the company (identified by the icon).

1. From the Rainbow administration interface, click on the Manage your company icon at the bottom of the left panel.
2. In the left panel, click on My company, then Information.
3. Click on the Themes tab in the right panel.
4. Select Force the selected custom theme to all users of your company.

Deleting a customized theme

A customized (Light or Dark) theme cannot be deleted if it is the last default theme for the company. Before deleting it, define another theme as default theme.

1. From the Rainbow administration interface, click on the Manage your company icon at the bottom of the left panel.
2. In the left panel, click on My company, then Information.
3. Click on the Themes tab in the right panel.
4. Move your mouse over the three vertical dots in front of the target customized theme and select Delete.
