This article allows company administrators to modify the visibility of companies and members in Rainbow.
Visibility is defined at two levels:
- Company level, applying to all the members for which specific visibility is not defined: see below
- Company member level: see: Configure company members
Modify the visibility has an impact on display and search in Rainbow, as well as the invitations sent by members to join their network: a member of a company can only invite a member of another company if that member is visible to him/her in Rainbow. Otherwise, the invitation is possible, but it must be done by email.
The visibility options are:
- Public: the company is visible in Rainbow to all users, except the members of Closed and Isolated companies.
The members of a Public company can:- Invite people to join their network (via Rainbow or by email)
- Be invited to join a network (via Rainbow or by email)
- Private: the company is only visible in Rainbow to company members.
The members of a Private company can:- Invite people to join their network (via Rainbow or by email)
- Be invited to join a network ONLY BY email
- Closed: the company is only visible in Rainbow to company members.
The members of a Closed company can:
- Invite people to join their network ONLY BY email
- Be invited to join a network ONLY BY email
- Isolated: the company is only visible in Rainbow to company members.
The members of an Isolated company CANNOT:
- Invite people to join their network
- Be invited to join a network
To change visibility at company level:
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on the Manage your company icon
at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the left panel, click on My company, then Information.
- If your company is linked to a Rainbow reseller, click on the Information tab in the right panel.
- In the PRIVACY panel, select the company visibility: Public, Private, Closed or Isolated.
- Click on the icon
which appears, after any change, at the top right of the page.
