This article allows resellers to configure attendant consoles for company members associated to a Cloud PBX.
Company members must be granted a Voice Attendant Custom license to use the attendant console: see: Assigning an attendant license to company members.
A predefined music is available for calls placed on hold. This music on hold can be replaced by customized music in wav format: see: Customizing music on hold.
Warning: Company members, with attendant license, cannot use anymore:
- Rainbow application on mobile
- Telephone device, if configured: the telephone device association is deleted after enabling attendant console
Assigning an attendant license to company members
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Members.
- Select the target company member.
- Select the Services tab.
- Select the Voice Attendant Custom license.
- Click on Apply.
Customizing music on hold
- From the Rainbow administration interface, click on Customer companies at the bottom of the left panel.
- In the customer list, click on the name of the customer company associated to the target Cloud PBX.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right panel of the window, click on the Welcome tab.
- Click on Voice prompts at the top of the right panel.
- In the Filter field, select Attendant console.
- From the voice prompt configuration panel, click on Browse and select the wav file to upload.
- In the Voice prompt field, select the voice prompt type.
- If needed, enter a description.
- Click on Upload.
The customized music on hold is displayed in the list. Its type is Customized and its status is active ().

Is it mandatory to have a Cloud PBX for the attendant or is an On Prem OXE with webRTC enough?

This feature is only available with Cloud PBX.
