New features
- Alert & Alarms
- An emergency alert can be sent by IM to a user who has a Rainbow Alert subscription, in P2P or in a bubble.
- Apple services authorize now Rainbow to send critical alerts. This is requested for the Alert feature.
- Authentication & Security
When iCLoud is enabled on iOS, local storage of data (IM, preview, avatars) enhances the user experience, but is only used as a cache and mustn’t be sent to iCloud for security reasons. - Hybrid Telephony
Ray Baum’s Act highlights the importance of geographic location in managing emergency situations by including caller's location and call back number: mobiles are required to dial 911 using the native dialer via the public GSM network and not via the PBX. - Presence
While already in a call, users can now move their status from ‘Busy’ to ‘DND’ or other type of presence (To be noted: select ‘Online’ isn’t taken into account while a conversation is already established). - Media Control
When starting a Rainbow call, “Mute” and “Speaker” actions have been added to “Call end”. - Communication - Rainbow Hub
- When trying to log in to the attendant application through a mobile phone, a user provided with an Attendant license will be rejected with a warning message.
- A call overflow activated for a hunting group can be redirected to a voicemail attached to the group. The voicemail records are consulted as audio files from a thumbnail in the hunting group’s bubble.
- User Interface
Users will benefit from UI redesign to take photos. Action buttons are rearranged for a better user experience.
Main fixes
- DND mode
When the DND mode is on, PBX calls don't ring in iOS application anymore. - Slowness
Some users noticed a slow response of the application when accessing different tabs after a few days of use. New improvments have been made to ensure a fastest application and improve usability. - Translation
Several additions have been made in Dutch and German.
