New Features
- User Experience
- To align call logs on all devices, some labels have been changed: a not answered outgoing call will display "outgoing call", a missed call will display "missed call".
- Rainbow clients are ready for compatibility with the new technology embedded in browsers using Chromium.
- Attendant Console
In a supervision context, the supervisor can see the forwarded state of supervised users (immediate forward configured or not and the destination). - Store
Under the user's avatar, a new entrey "Download the Rainbow App" is available, rerouting to where the user can download Rainbow client applications. - Legal
The updated Rainbow price list is available: 4 new countries were added in the Green List.
Main Fixes
- Bubbles
Clicking on an invitation to a Bubble could route you to a wrong information popup (‘this Bubble is archived’ instead of ‘you have not joined the Bubble yet’). This problem has been fixed. - Channel
- The oldest post shown in the channel was not always the right one. The server could introduce some disruptions in the management of posts when micro cuts occurred. The feature has been strengthened against these disturbances.
- The display of a banner attached to a channel was not optimized. The layout of the image has been revised for a better visual rendering
- Code Snippets
When wanting to paste code snippets in an IM in Rainbow, the attach option was not enabled. The only workaround was to add a modification into the dedicated window (pressing space for example). The ‘Attach’ button is now made available once the code snippets are copied/pasted. - Copy/Paste
The copy/paste was allowed in the search box but not in the dialier box. The paste is now allowed. If the pasted string is an invalid number, an error will be displayed when enter key is pressed (or when dial icon is clicked). - Display
In German language, all options were not fully displayed when users clicked on the paper clip to make any action for an attachment. The area of display has been increased. - Edge Browser
Some users couldn’t connect to Rainbow through an Edge browser, although it worked by adding the Rainbow URL in exception in security parameters. It was a side effect of new development. Edge browser considers now the Rainbow application even with enhanced security mode activated. - Forward
A forward to an internal extension done from a deskphone could be seen but couldn’t be done by Rainbow application. The label ‘External destination’ has been replaced by ‘other number’ and this option allows to forward to external or internal numbers now. - Hotkeys
It was difficult to program a hotkey in the ‘Settings – General’ page due to a bad display of the menu. The menu is now fully accessible. - Invitations
Administrator wanting to check the pending invitations by clicking the button ‘Show’ from the Information page in their dashboard was rerouted to the Members list. The admin is now correctly redirected to the list of not yet answered invitations. - Notification
Notification of incoming call could be left on display of a cell phone although the call was already answer on another client. The client on PC did not send needed information to warn the cell phone that the call was answered. This is checked anytime now to allow the mobile to release properly on its side. - Participant count
The list of attendees in a bubble could be different depending on the views of the participants. The count mechanism has been reviewed to give again the same value now to everyone. - Safari
After a file downloading, an orange banner about internet disconnection could be displayed, blocking the access on the menu available under the user’s avatar. There is no longer disconnection of internet after any downloading of files. - Slow moving display
Users could find that some menus took a long time to display. As the time needed to exchange information with the server cannot always be shortened, a spinner has been added to give some indication to the users. - Work Phone
It could happen that in the ‘work phone’ in contact card, a REX number was displayed instead of the contact phone number. The usage of the call log for having a way to call back a contact was sometimes inappropriate when a phone number was associated to the contact.
