New Features
-
User Experience
Rainbow clients are ready for compatibility with the new technology embedded in browsers using Chromium. -
User Interface
- Dedicated to Edge users only, the red label indicating a Rainbow specific domain is moved in the ‘about’ screen, as it is done in Web app.
- The homogeneity of the user interface is improved for Rainbow WebRTC calls (P2P and Conference) to ease the end-user experience, as it was done for Android mobiles.
Main Fixes
-
Display
- The texts of the icons in the bottom banner were cut. This has been fixed.
- While in conference with video and screen sharing activated from a Web user, an iOS user could see the screen sharing in the main area and in the active talker view too. The dynamic feed managing what to be displayed in the different active areas has been modified to feed these ones correctly.
-
Persistent Message
In softphony mode only, the message ‘allow access to local contacts’ remained displayed in favorites after the user had clicked on ‘refuse’. The message is now removed after any action chosen by the user. -
Pick-up
Some users couldn’t pick up a group call by using their iOS device. The use case needed to add a specific intermediate phone state on iOS client to allow the pickup. It’s done. -
Test Configuration
Users could get error messages when checking their configuration by applying ‘Test my configuration’. Parameters could be missing to proceed to the test, a mechanism allows to retrieve them now. -
Translation
Missing French translations were added and the strings were reviewed for a global consistency between the different clients.
