New Features
- Bubbles & Web conferences
- Depending on the user's profile, a new contextual option "Audio-Video settings" is added in the menu, accessible from the options, to enable the selection of camera, microphone, speaker and background.
- Meet Bubble links are reachable also in Edge environments from now on.
- Chat
The ‘show search bar’ option is added in the menu, accessible from the options, during a WebRTC P2P or Conference. - Rainbow Hub
- A new configurable DND mode has been added to the personal routine available from the user’s menu in the left panel.
- In their settings, in addition to the existing CLI selection feature, users can now select “No CLI” to make outbound calls without any CLI for external calls.
- Hunting groups can now be managed by a group manager, able to manage the withdrawal status of the group’s members. Depending on their configuration, a group manager can manage multiple groups.
Main Fixes
- Analytics
The audio quality would be tagged as "unknown" on several calls. WebRTC calls with an external number unknown to Rainbow are now taken into account in the Analytics. - Audio device
Inconsistencies could occur when managing audio devices while on a Bubble call. A rework has been done to handle correctly the detection of any changes in audio devices. - Azure AD
Mass import of users could fail with the error ‘invalid file’. The web admin page now provides a detailed error when the CSV file contains non UTF8 characters. - Badge
It could happen that the ‘unread messages’ badge was missing on Web application. The update is made automatically when a new event is posted. - Business Directory
Trying to use import/export files to update the tags in the business directory didn’t work. The feature is now implemented. - Callback
The callback was not possible when the called party was not registered in the user’s contacts and belonged to another company. The phone icon "to call" is now available in the call log. - Call control
The call control functions didn’t allow some users to put a call on hold anymore. The option was no longer offered for users with Essential profile. It has been reestablished. - Channel
Trying to remove a picture in a post in a channel was not taken into account. The modification of a channel's post is now working well. - Conference
The list of attendees in a Conference could be incomplete for some users. All participants now have the same view of attendees. - Favorites
Users sometimes could lose their favorite Bubbles. After unexpected disconnections from the server, some commands didn’t succeed to retrieve all Bubbles data. This is fixed now. - Guest
After being invited into a Bubble, a guest user could have no audio in the Bubble. The audio switching is ok now when guest users are connecting a Bubble. - Country
When consulting the contact card of a person not in their own network, the user could see a wrong country displayed. The right country is now always displayed. - Headset
A restart of the Rainbow application could happen after plugging a specific Jabra headset. This specific headset model is not crashing the app anymore. - Messages
It could happen that some lines (ex: extract of a log) sent through IM disconnected Rainbow application temporarily and the message was not sent. The first line that was sent was interpreted by the browser, but it was not supposed to happen. The correction avoids any interpretation of the text so that it is sent as is. - Microphone
On MacOS it happened that the user could not be heard by other participants in a Conference and got an error “error no microphone is active, please check your devices”, unless the user was well equipped. The rework of handling the audio devices has fixed the issue. - Predefined answers
When using the suggested quick texts to answer a call, it could happen that the buttons appeared transparent on mouseover. The buttons are now well displayed when flying over with the mouse. - Security settings
Trying to use a webcam was impossible on MacOS when in System Preferences/Security settings Rainbow app was not allowed to use the camera. It led to display an unintelligible warning message. The information on what happens and what to do has been made clear for the users. - Support email
Support email was not modifiable in customer company without subscriptions. That is has been fixed. - Translation
Some Analytics strings have been fixed for French administrators.
Administration
- Mass provisioning
Business Directory mass provisioning takes tags into account in import/export csv files. - Speed-dial keys
Rainbow Hub administrators are now able to create speed-dial keys to external destinations on their member's phones.
