This article is intented for Rainbow users in conversation from their company deskphone and who want to perform one of the following:
- Putting the phone call on hold
- Resuming the phone call on hold
- Transferring the phone call to another party
- Ending the phone call
Putting the phone call on hold
Press the Hold softkey or key.
The phone call is put on hold on your deskphone.
Resuming the phone call on hold
Press the Retrieve softkey or key.
Transferring the phone call to another party
You can:
- Transfer immediately the call before the another party answers (blind transfer)
- Transfer the call after the another party answers (attended transfer)
To transfer the call:
- Press the Transfer softkey or key.
The first party is put on hold. - Press the New softkey, and perform one of the following:
- Search the second party in call log or personal directory
- Dial the second party number or name
- Press OK.
The second party is called. - Perform one of the following:
- To make a blind transfer: press the B transf softkey.
- To make an attended transfer: press the Transfer softkey or key.
Both parties (on hold and online) are in communication.
Ending the phone call
Press the End softkey.
