- No ringing calls
  Some calls were not ringing on smartphones in WiFi environment. Users were just notified of missed calls. Application sometimes failed to start on push notifications on incoming calls due to more strict battery optimizations on some smartphones. This case has been handled.

  The green banner at the top of the screen for returning to the current call (call in progress - waiting room - call shift) has been refactored for a better experience, especially when rotating the screen (portrait to landscape and vice-versa) or if the screen is split on iPad, and whatever the call (Rainbow, pbx call or conference).

  Unidentified push messages could have been received. All kind of notifications were not taken into account. All are now considered.
- Onboarding
  At the deployment, users got stuck after the country was selected. At this stage, the list of countries was not yet fetched.
- Upload
  Uploading multiple images in a bubble could fail. It is due to a random iOS library issue. In case of such behavior, an error popup is displayed.
- Voice message
  User could be not notified of an incoming Voice Message. When app is restarted after a kill, voicemails and counters are now recovered.
- XL font size
  When increasing the font size, some screens were badly resized. The design of some screens has been reviewed.

  The telephony and the softphone are moved behind a phone icon in place of the current 'call history' icon used to access call-log. Real time widgets ( Active calls, Supervised calls...) are still presented when other UC function are selected.

  The Voice tab could be not displayed at the first attempt. It's now permanently shown.
- Audio/video devices
  It was possible anymore to set micro loudspeaker and camera on Desktop app in certain configuration (Citrix environment). When the user has allowed the virtual machine can access the local devices (on PC), it is ok.
- Chat view
  Some users couldn't go back to the chat page after a call initiated when called was found from the search bar. Exit search mode is now effective in all cases.
- Copy/paste
  Paste text from excel or some other app file did copy only an image, not the text itself. Previous behavior has been restored (image + text are sent).
- DTMF
  It was not possible to use the keypad to enter DTMF for accessing 4645 voice mail from Rainbow. The keypad is now available again.
- [Early Adopter] Citrix
  Play with Audio-video settings worked incorrectly. It's fixed now, with an adaptation to citrix behavior.
- [Early Adopter] Webinar
  Some Youtube URL were not accepted in the waiting room.
- Full screen
  The contextual help didn't appear by moving the mouse over it in full screen mode. It's been reestablished.
- Icon
  The icon 'mode' disappeared when users were assigned licenses. Only the add of another phone as second device made this symbol reappearing. The icon display was badly managed in one case.
- Inactivity
  Desktop app could enter a state of black inactive screen for no reason. A mechanism for opening a pop-up window no longer worked properly.
- Notifications
  Bubble invite notification remained active after the user had accepted the invitation several times. It has been fixed.
- Rainbow app
  Rainbow app culd be greyed out without any reason. The issue was due to a lack of update of the 'calendar' settings, it could be fixed by disabling + enabling again the calendar in the settings of user.
- Search
  In Recordings section, using the custom date filter didn't give the expected results. The request returned all records up to the chosen date. It has been fixed.
- Syntax
  Correct punctuation fixed a syntax issue in voice mail messages string.
Administration

  Company admins can implement a custom data retention policy by cleaning-up messages and files older than a configurable period. In scope: - Files stored by a user on his own storage - Files exchanged by a user in p2p or bubble - Voice messages left in p2p or bubble conversations - Records of conferences and webinars Out of this scope: - User's avatar and bubble - Rainbow Hub Voice messages records (subject to a specified 2-month data retention policy)

  Administrators can disable the capability for users to set their presence to “Invisible” by setting the Presence parameter 'Enable users to set their presence to Invisible state' to 'not allowed' in the user profiles.

  A specific headset (Poly Voyager) didn't work anymore for receiving calls. This headset is well taken into account again.
- Upgrade
  Auto-update of Desktop app was stuck for the detection of a virus during loading in some companies. After the new certificate installation, the Rainbow whitelisting in some Anti-virus should have been reactivated. An enhancement has been provided to avoid such kind of behavior in future releases.

  There was an irrelevant error message in the attendant console for an attendant whose telephonic association was not configured. It's due to a configuration issue. From now, users granted an attendant license while they have no telephony cannot access the supervision console.
- Audio
  Users could get audio issue when a Web client establishes a conference call with a generic SIP DECT device. Sip device is now completely treated this particular case of conference.
- Audio-Video devices
  It was not possible anymore to set micro loudspeaker and camera on Desktop app in certain configuration.
- Calls
  Calls from operator to a Rainbow user shown the number instead of the name. The web app didn't consider the name / first name included in the QUEUED event for a call being reserved by operator.
- Bubbles
  List of bubble participants didn't display a horizontal slider when participants have a long name.
- Chat
  Chat didn't allow randomly to go back to the beginning of a line to add a character. Content was sometimes produced through another method that blocked a correct edition.

  When a user wanted to modify a chat having a smiley in the middle of the text, the smiley was moving at the last of the text. The smiley keeps its initial position now.

  It could be not possible to join a bubble with more than 5 people. An error, raised before all participant info were updated, prevent the bubble to run correctly.

  Users could not create a call forwarding public number or remove one when already applied. This is fixed.

  The administrator can now get at once internal and DDI phone numbers in the 'members' section of the administration tab.
- MFA (Multi factor authentification)
  The tooltip in MFA context was wrong. Mousing over the tooltip, the message is now: "By checking this box, this authentication method will apply to all members. In addition to login/password authentication, it offers members the option of configuring an additional authentication factor."

  When a Hunting Group is forwarded to another Hunting Group after timeout, sometimes members of both Groups couldn't pick up the calls in. The incoming call is now managed properly during the forward.

  By re-authenticating through SSO, the Rainbow application could stay in 'connecting' state longer than expected. Enhancements have been done to speed up the full authentication when token has expired.
- Bubble
  All bubble members were not always displayed on iOS. Cache issue on iOS is now fixed.

  Call history did show all missed calls in 'All' tab but not in 'missed tab. Side effect of feature reworking. It's fixed now.
- Contacts
  Rainbow users were seen as unknown when chatting in a bubble.
  Fetch of information has been strengthened to provide all details from peers.
- Deleted messages
  Messages deleted by their expeditor could be not notified immediately on iOS of the recipients. Missing notification in the new implementation.
- Dial-in
  A user, in a bubble, trying to share the bubble link and dial-in, could not get any other language setting than English. The settings was unnecessary saved, so used any time.
- Invitation
  Inviting a contact from the local contact list might not work. Invitations from local contact list send correctly emails now to the invited people.
- Personal contacts
  iOS contacts could be displayed more than once in the Rainbow app personal contacts. The app did a bad filtering when doing a search.
- Task
  Tasks sometimes disappeared from the list. The mechanism triggering the fetching of these data has been strengthened.
- Updates
  Unless iOS updates are managed by MDM, users received a popup informing about available updates and actions to be done. This popup is removed now.

  On device used with Italian language, action buttons were misaligned while in call. All are well realigned!
- Hub - Outgoing call
  User complained that he could not make outgoing calls. This case has been fixed.
- Log out
  It happened than a user was automatically disconnected from their Android app. Unwanted disconnections have been fixed.
- Ringing
  Android app could keep ringing while the call was answered on Desktop app. The sequence of events is rescheduled between apps to allow them a good synchronization.
- Rainbow room
  Rainbow Room could be not notified. An event triggering the notification was not always updated.

Main Fixes
- Screen sharing
  Desktop didn't show any more the red line highlighting the fact that the user shared their screen. Shared screens on Windows OS with known limitations, for example: Clicking on the taskbar/start-menu will hide the red border on that area because I have no control to overlay the border on the taskbar especially when clicking on it.
- Stop ringing without decline
  The call window to stop ringing of an incoming call couldn't be closed. The implementation of this feature is now fully available in Desktop app.

Main Fixes
- Active talker
  It could happen that the blue frame does not surround the speaker but another participant to a conference. It should not happen anymore.
- Admin
  Admininistrator of an organization without right to update subscriptions are able to manage subscriptions in other companies within the same organization if the right is allowed in those companies.
- Avatar
  Avatar was not immediately removed or added after an action from the user. These actions don't need a refresh any more.
- Background
  Add a background image when in conversation (and then out of conversation seemed no more possible for a while. A warning popup is displayed now when the image is too large to be downloaded as background.
- Bubble
  Some bubble members could disappear from the member list of a bubble while user was chatting with the bubble's members. Bubble management has been reworked, including the fix of this issue.
- Call history
  Wrong information could be stored into the call history so users were not able to recall from there.
- CCD
  Rainbow CCD Agents just Logged On, couldn't answer any distributed incoming Call presented in queue, as no PopUp occurred. The event for the call presentation was sent too early in regard to the agent login. It's now taken into account and calls can be answered.
- Connection
  Change internet connection could stop the screen sharing display. The screen sharing is recovered now in such a case due to some enhancements in re-connection process.
- Contact offline
  Using the option to send email to a contact offline for several days didn't work. The email now is sent and the sender get correct notification on their action.
- Dashboard
  Audio Quality option tab could display erroneous icons in the Network column. It has been fixed.
- DND
  The option "Ignore VoIP calls in Do Not Disturb mode" couldn’t be deactivated anymore. Side effect of implementation of the feature in another context is fixed now.
- Equipment
  In case of multiple equipments, it was not possible to assocaite a user to an equipment beyond the fiftieth because it was not listed, unless entering directly the equipment name. It's now possible to scroll through the entire list.
- Ergonomics
  Truncated menu in German language in bubbles recording has been made readable.
- Files
  Sending mutiple files could not work sometimes. A protection has been added to not fall into such case..
- Hub - Audio issue
  With some devices, an external call got no audio. An event sequence issue on device side stopped the audio streaming. It's fixed.
- Hub - error message
  Admin without right to create / delete public numbers had nevertheless the button 'create' but generated a not understandable error. Admin having no right to create/delete public numbers doesn't anymore the buttons for such actions.
- Hub - Myriad phone
  When a call was put on hold or resumed on Myriad, the device displayed an unexpected number below the caller's number. The issue is not reproducible any more.
- Hub - Ringtone
  Users didn't receive any ringtone on PC any more after modifying settings. Config warning: when user is in office mode Rainbow app doesn't ring.
- Invitation
  In the email sent to create an account, users invited to join Rainbow didn't get any information explaining the rules about creating the new password. The rules have been added in the email.
- Join conference
  Users couldn't suddenly join an already started conference, getting an error instead. Enhancements around list of conversations & bubbles have been made.
- Keyboard shortcut
  Users got random issues by using keyboard shortcuts. Several identified root causes have been fixed.
- Language
  Language was not getting updated when changing from Dutch to English. User's profile did not permit users to modify their personal settings during the initialization process.
- Marker
  Thread of unread messages could sometimes not be tagged by 'unread messages'. When connection is back after a network loss, the conversation is updated with the 'unread messages' marker on missed messages.
- Metrics
  An export of the audio quality analysis for all members of some company, displayed many users as “unknown” although the consultation per user gave the names. The export is built correctly now and keeps all user's names.
- Metrics
  Export of dashboard data didn't take calls under than 5 seconds. All calls are now exported.
- Outlook plugin
  Within a company, some users couldn't schedule meetings. To be noted: The domain name must be consistent between Office365 domain and Rainbow.
- Presence
  After an unexpected event, other user's presence information could disappear from the application. A stronger protection has been added to recover user's presence in any cases.
- PSTN dial-in
  Small display adaptations have been brought to improving the user experience.
- Push to talk
  The push-to-talk option sometimes could not be deactivated. Restricted user profiles didn't allow to use some custom data, this shouldn't be the case any more.
- Recording
  Call records were not always saved in Rainbow. Records are temporary backuped, so in case of issue the backup version is used, and automatically deleted after the user recovered the data.
- Remote control
  The option 'give control of your computer' didn't work well. The option is now available, allowing to choose a participant.
- Shortcut
  Calling a user by using a shortcut could reach another unexpected destination. Action event related to these calls was not correct.
- Supervision
  Although a user provided with the right license became supervisor, the administrator got an error when looking at the supervision related tabs. A remaining setting, not used for hybrid supervision, has been cleaned to avoid such incorrect information.
- Teams V3
  
  In the context of 2 simultaneous calls, user was unable to retrieve action buttons for the second call after hanging up the first one. Issue in the call area has been fixed.

  Refresh was not dynamic in Teams interface after creation of a contact from Rainbow call.

  Initiate a call from a search contact in directory led to an error message.Search for contacts has been corrected.
- Transfer
  Using the option 'RaiseChangeCall' on transfer in Custo.manifest, an 'undefined' number was displayed in a CRM file. The Web app recovers and provides now a correct Caller Number after the transfer.

  Several corrections have been brought in German language in the 'Tasks' feature.

  Some users could not share their video in bubbles. The degraded network quality did not authorize the video.

  It happened that some conversation threads were empty after the PC woke up. Enhancements have been made for a better user experience in such a case.

  The day-to-day work of the organization administrators of BP/IR companies in dual VAD configuration has been made easier (company selection/switching).

  A new option is available when admin activates the auto-renew of the licenses 'Volume' It allows any number between currently allocated and max number defined on the subscription and can be modified as many times as long as the expiration date is not reached.

This intermediate state allows the BP to restore the account and its data in case the deletion was one by mistake.

  Users could receive calls from 'Unknown' on their smartphone when already engaged in a bubble with their desktop. These calls couldn't be accepted. It was a side effect of the feature 'join without audio', fixed now.

- Dual sim
  Some users reported various issues when using dual-sim cards. One newly introduced specific iOS code has been enabled for Rainbow app. Dual sim management is now back to a normal use.
- Echo
  On an incoming call, when the Speaker phone was activated, the caller could hear themselves in echo. It was linked to the speaker button on Callkit screen management when iOS 16 was introduced. A solution has been found.
- Notifications
  Users could receive an unexpected notification 'message encrypted" on their iOS. A protection has been added to get rid of these notifications in case of desynchronization of specific events
- Ringing state
  The devices could keep ringing although the call was already answered by deskphone. An event was sometimes not received in time. It's better controlled now to avoid such a situation.
- Search
  It could be no more possible to get result from PBX directories by using the search by name feature. Bad parameter was transmitted in the command. We use the right one now to get good result.

  By inserting images of a certain format, users couldn’t keep their initial size in the channel. The sizing is in conformity now.

  Link in PDF opened in Rainbow view didn’t open through Rainbow, so it was not possible to get a preview before downloading it. Preview is available now.
- Incoming call
  Sometimes, incoming calls well notified in the Desktop app kept ringing although the user was trying to pick up the call. It happened when the call came from an attendant console, wrong management of calls transferred from attendant has been fixed.

  Users couldn’t invite other people any more. The request couldn’t be successfully processed because the invited contact parameters were no longer transferred.
- Parsed characters
  Character sequence :x: in a middle of an URL is no longer transformed into a graphical.
- Password manager
  Rainbow login page didn’t work with the Password Manager Bitwarden. The operating mode of the authentication phase has been reworked to take the completion mechanism of such a tool into account
- PBX numbering rules
  It was suddenly necessary to scroll down to check the matching result of a PBX numbering rule configuration. This ergonomic regression has been corrected.
- Programmable keys
  Shared key option was greyed out after one action only, the administrator had no possibility to manage other actions for the user. The shared key management is functional, options to modifying, adding keys are reported in the user’s settings.
- Replied message
  In replying a message, the line breaks disappeared in the reply. For consistency between devices, the displayed reply contains only the first line now.
- Ringing
  Rainbow PC application could keep ringing even though the call was answered on mobile phone. Missing event has been added.

  The incoming call tone could ring unexpectedly after the user had hung up a call. Ringing service is reworked.

  It happened that the button ‘recording’ could be accessible only once in a conversation. The event triggering the stop recording is now working in all cases.
- Screen sharing
  In a few cases, while in conference, participants couldn’t see a shared screen or application. A protocol used for media negotiation was not well recognized in the browser. The protocol is now working.

  A phone book search could ignore recent changes and show outdated information. We have tinkered with the internal workings so that the search takes into account the most recent changes.
- Web Conference
  Some avatars could appear several times in Grid view mode. No, it was not clones but a bug. Bug that is now fixed... 💁‍♂️💁‍♂️
- Profiles
  Users with a restricted "Telephony only" profile could not access their account settings from their avatar in the "keyboard" tab. This is now fixed, and pressing the avatar displays the menu properly.
- Phone call - Hybrid
  Some calls picked up on a desk phone kept ringing on mobile. We are very sorry for the extra ringing in your ears, and now things are back to normal.
- Phone call
  The call transfer icon could be grayed out and therefore unavailable during certain calls. We did the necessary and the call transfer is again fully operational.

  The search was only initiated when two characters were entered. This was annoying for some searches (e.g. in Mandarin) where names can be only one character long. Searches are now launched as soon as the first character is entered.
- Instant message
  Some "adaptive card" type messages often used by Rainbow BOTs were not displayed correctly or could be cropped. The design of these messages has been reworked and everything is now displayed without problems.

  For some users, switching to full screen mode from a screen share could mean the start of an automatic switch back and forth between full screen mode and normal mode. Full screen mode (and your ability to use screen sharing) works again as expected.
- User interface
  Tooltips could be truncated depending on their location on the screen. Since it is always useful to be able to read this kind of help, we have fixed this issue.
- Administration
  We have improved the update frequency of the information available in the "Analytics" tab. Some sections were not taking into account the latest data. We have made some adjustments to how this data is reflected in the dashboards. 📈

Release of WebRTC Gateway 1.77.16

  A new installation script is now available for Hyper-V G2. 👌
- Configuration
  The mpconfig function now has two new options to specify a port range for WebRTC and for SIP.
  mpconfig --WRTRANGE=20000-29999 for the WebRTC port range.
  mpconfig --SIPRANGE=30000-39999 for the SIP port range.
- Miscellaneous
  The gateway now supports "VirtIO disk" type devices. 💽
Main fixes
- Network Quality
  Some users connected to an unstable network were unable to make phone calls from their Rainbow applications. We have better equipped the gateway to deal with this type of instability and avoid this issue.

  Some users had to refresh their connector to connect after starting the computer. Now the connection works on the first try in all cases.
- Phone calls
  We fixed some issues that could block the launch of phone calls in the call history. Everything works again without problems.
- Phone calls
  The "Secondary ringtone" setting could reset after a computer restart. This was quite annoying and we have taken the necessary steps to keep this setting at all times.

Release of Microsoft Teams Connector 1.5.3 / 1.8.10 / 2.0.13

- Phone calls
  Calls can now be initiated by using the "enter" key on the keyboard once the number is entered in the dialer. It's a bit more convenient this way... 🤷
Main fixes
- Ringtone
  The "No ringtone" option was not fully taken into account when a headset was connected to the computer. A ringtone could be heard in the headset during an incoming call. We’ve fixed this.
- Phone call
  DTMF sending was not always available during a call. This could be annoying, for example to activate the automatic callback when your recipient was busy. Everything is now running smoothly again.
- Connexion
  Single sign-on could be denied and redirect users to the login page. We’ve tinkered with the internal workings and polished some rough edges. Single sign-on now works perfectly.

  We tweaked some things too small to notice or too difficult to explain. We'll return next time (we hope) to our usual, more interesting types of releases.
