Emoticons are not Displayed When I'm Writing an Instant Message

When I add an emoticon to my message, I have to send him to display the picture.
Before the messages submission, emoticons are display with the format ":)" or ":slight_smile:"

Rainbow should translate instantly the code and display the picture in the text field.

  This will not be considered (development effort versus added-value).

  There are also many tools that not automatically convert what you are typing into emoticons (best example is iMessage/SMS on iPhone).

  And suggest one automatically as you type, like on my smartphone :)
