WebRTC indirect media
Hello,
I'm planning on using Rainbow solutions at my company for users to be able to make external calls directly on teams without having to use a physical desktop phone.
The only issue I have is that my IPBX is on a "Communication" LAN while the computers with teams are on a "Computers" LAN. The two networks are physically dissociated for security purposes meaning the Rainbow Desktop app will never be able to communicate with the WebRTC direct media.
However, as all teams users have access to internet, I'm planning on only setting up connections using the WebRTC "indirect" media as seen on this image :
Would it be possible to only have "indirect" users that are not directly connected to the WebRTC but still benefits from all the features provided by it ? How different would it be to set it up this way ?
Thank you in advance for your answers,
M.P.

Hi Max,
Good day to you.
If there is no direct connection between Communication and Computers LAN the RTP media flow has to cross the TURN server.
It will work but it will be not as efficient as direct RTP between computer and deskphone.A duolan configuration could be proposed. So, one interface in Computers LAN and another interface in Communication LAN.
This has however to be accepted by the customer IS/IT security team.Thank you.
