    Hello Martin,

When I look at the existing demands, I find Jan's post: "Filter the Search Result in Rainbow to Display Only my Company Members". You had the same idea! Let's merge these suggestions to get more comments and more votes!

Please comment Jan's post to let him know your interest or complete his suggestion!

Rainbow should not only display the contacts of my company and general rainbow contacts but also the contacts from the PBX (which are also displayed with incoming calls!).

Its confusing for the customer if he gets something displayed on an incoming call, which he later does not re-find through the contacts search.

If you have a business or enterprise license you will find PBX contacts in the rainbow search. This feature request is more related to the display of the search results which could be improved.

I have a Rainbow enterprise license, but the contacts from the OXO phonebook do not appear in the rainbow search.

Tobias, I gently ask you to verify with your IT team if your OXO is connected to Rainbow via Rainbow Agent and running R2.1 software version. If yes, you might want to open a ticket with ALE Support team. In current Rainbow_Feature_List (https://support.openrainbow.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/360000167224/Rainbow_Feature_List_E12.xlsx), line 236 from "Applications" tab, we find that this feature should work, as Martin wrote it before.

(and, as Martin wrote, this post here regards to "results appearance", not search feature itself...)

    King regards,

This feature only works on OXE today. We should create another feature suggestion for OXO ;)

OXO manages several address books: the internal users and external users. It seems Rainbow search does access only the internal users right now. I can fully confirm it is confusing for the users, they can see the name for incoming external calls (in this case the number gets resolved to the name taken from PBXs phone book), but during search the PBX external phone book isn't taken into account.

I think there is a misunderstanding here.

I do NOT mean finding the internal OXO-Subscribers! This works.

I mean the "Collective Speed Dialing" directory (in OMC: at the "Collective Speed Dialing" tab). If you receive a call, Rainbow resolves the number into the name from the "Collective Speed Dialing" directory. But if you use the search box, the entries from the "Collective Speed Dialing" directory will not to be displayed!

Hi All, What Tobias is experiencing is right and well described by David : "OXO manages several address books: the internal users and external users. [...] Rainbow search does access only the internal users right now."
So it is "normal" behavior today that you have name resolution of all incoming calls that are in the external directory. But the search will not find them. Certainly a good candidate for a next feature improvement :-)

Have I do a feature improvement for this or do you put it on the list of things to do?

    Hello Tobias,

I recommend you to create a new Feature Suggestion to talk about the implementation of the "Collective Speed Dial Directory".

To ensure a good follow-up to these suggestions, we must keep one request by post. Martin's initial request addressed the filtering of search results.

    Thanks for your understanding,
