    Hello Harald,

    "Mass provisioning" feature allows you to manage user information but not personal settings. If you want to have this possibility in Rainbow, I invite you to post a request in the subject: "Feature Suggestion".

    Another track would be to modify the "rainbow.ini" file of your users where most of the personal settings are stored (automatic start, "do not disturb" automatic mode etc).

    If you want to dig this trail, I can try to help you. Feel free to ask your questions in this conversation!

    Hello Quentin,

    I know. Is it possible to modify the rainbow.ini file for all users, before mass provisioning via the GPO? If so, how it works?

    best regards,
    Harry

    Hello Harald,

    I advise you to consider the deployment of your applications through the MSI and the user accounts creation as two independent steps.

    I'm not a GPO expert but I think you can use them to copy a file to each computer. I found explanations about this topics here: https://silentcrash.com/2012/06/copy-files-multiple-computers-group-policy-gpo/

    Once you have deployed the Rainbow application in each user's directory, you should be able to add or edit a "rainbow.ini" file including the settings you want.

    Let me know if my answer help you or if you need further information...

    Thank you for the link, he's very helpful.

    Last question. Do you have a description for each setting in the rainbow.ini file which can modify. In my rainbow.ini file i have only this informations:
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    [Main]
    language=de
    dwlFolder=C:\\Users\\XXX\\Downloads\\Rainbow
    shareCalendarInfo=true
    geometry=@ByteArray(\x1\xd9\xd0\xcb\0\x2\0\0\xff\xff\xf8x\xff\xff\xff\xf8\0\0\0\a\0\0\x4\xb7\xff\xff\xfb'\0\0\0\x87\xff\xff\xff\xe\0\0\x3\x38\0\0\0\x1\x2\0\0\0\a\x80)
    automaticDND=false
    headsetDeviceName=3- Jabra Engage 75
    audioProfile=headset
    handFreeInputDeviceName=Realtek High Definition Audio
    handFreeOutputDeviceName=Realtek High Definition Audio
    contactNameDisplay=FL
    gifAutoPlay=true
    searchBarVisible=false
    searchFilter=NoFiltering

    [Setup]
    dwlVersion=1.53.1.0
    dwlFileName=Rainbow_Installer_User_1.53.1.0.exe
    checkDelay=60
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    So, if i want to enable the automatic start or disable the email notification etc, which command i must add to the rainbow.ini file?

    Best regards

    Hello Harald,

    I'm really sorry! I didn't see your answer... For the moment we don't have an article that summarizes all the possible values for the "rainbow.ini" file. But it's a good idea and we should publish it.

    Is your problem still relevant?

    Hello,

    Autostart can be set in Rainbow.ini and since 1.62, "AutoStart" flag can be used as an argument for MSI files to automatically start the app when user logs in.

    Regards,
    Claire
