Using IP phones from home

In the Office I use a BCL Alcaltel Lucent 8000 series handset. Am I able to take this home (plug it into the internet) and use it as an IP phone to access the Rainbow system?

  Hello,

  If your Rainbow user is associated to an OXO or OXE IP Phone, you can use Rainbow on your PC or your mobile phone in VoIP mode to manage your professional calls from any location.

  But placing calls from your deskphone at home won't work "as is", because of the NAT rules from your Internet Box.

  However latest ALE phones embed a VPN client that could be used to access the corporate LAN. The feasability should be checked with your ALE partner.
