Target Audience: Rainbow User Related Offers: Essential, Business, Enterprise
You can receive audio/video calls (WebRTC) from all Rainbow contacts. An incoming call can be accepted or denied by a single click in a dedicated pop-up. These calls are made via the Internet. All you need is a microphone and a Webcam to take advantage of all the functions.
NOTE: Your contacts can reach you via an audio/video call only if your presence allows it. Don't forget to update your status according to your availability.
When an incoming audio/video call is detected by Rainbow, a pop-up will appear at the top right-hand side of the application (1).
This pop-up displays the identity of the caller and offers four options to manage this call.
"Accept as video call" (1) allows you take the call and activate your Webcam. This option is available only when a contact tries to reach you via a video call.
The "Accept as an audio call" option (2) allows you to accept the call. You will be able to use the microphone on your computer to converse with your caller.
The "Ignore" option allows you to decline the call (3).
The "Send message" option (4) allows you to decline the call by adding an instant message for your caller. You can select a prerecorded message or write a personalized message (5).
When the call is finished, a record of it will be listed in the conversation and in your call log.
How to manage my audio/video incoming calls?
When an incoming audio/video call is detected by Rainbow, a page will be displayed on your smartphone. The notification page will display the identity of the caller and the nature of the call (audio or video).
