Rainbow is now based on the Operating System device management. How a device is used or not used is mainly related to its status in the operating system, such as "Default" or "Default Communications" audio device for Windows. This article will describe how to configure this settings in Windows.

Defining the "default device" and the "default for communications device"
Open the Windows Settings then from the System menu select the Sound menu
In the displayed list you can select the default device with the radio button
When selecting the device properties you can also define it as default device and you will also be able to define it as default communications device
If the device is already Default you can define it as default communications device
Disabling a device
In the properties of the device you can disable it to avoid to be used by any application in Windows.
