Global dashboard

In the Global dashboard you will find three metrics:

• Users, grouped by their recent activity
• Global adoption score
• Users with licenses

Users

Users are categorized into three groups based on their recent activity:

• Active users are users who have used Rainbow at least once over the last 7 days.
• Sleeping users are users who have used Rainbow at least once but not over the last 7 days.
• Inactive users are users who have never used Rainbow.

Two aggregated and two per-day views are available:

Pie chart for the snapshot view of the last day of the dashboard period
Bar chart for the snapshot view of the last day of the dashboard period
Line chart for the per-day view of the dashboard period. Best to see the evolution and numbers of each group separately.
Area chart for the per-day view of the dashboard period. The areas are stacked so that the top line of the graph represents the total number of users.

1-year view is available in the Users tab: Active, sleeping, and inactive users

Global adoption score

The Global adoption score is an indicator of the adoption of Rainbow by your users across all features. It is based on the frequency that your users are using Rainbow over the last 28 days.

It is the average value of the adoption scores of the users: for example, a user active for 2 days or less over this period counts as 0% while a user active for more than 14 days counts as 100%.

Acceptable values will depend on the context of your company. For example in a company with many part-time employees, the score will be lower than a company where employees are using Rainbow on a daily basis. Thus, it is more relevant to follow the evolution of the score rather than an instant value: if the score is increasing, it means that Rainbow is more and more often used, while a decreasing score should be addressed by promoting Rainbow more towards your users.

One aggregated view and one per-day view are available:

The Gauge view shows you the evolution of the global adoption score between the last day (so the most recent day) and the first day of the period.
The line view shows you the evolution per day over the selected period:

Users with licenses

Users and licenses keeps track of the number of users with licenses. Note that, given that a user may have multiple licenses, the sum here may exceed the total number of users.

One aggregated view and one per-day view are available:

Users tab

Advanced analytics with 1-year history is available in the Users tab, which is also accessible via an icon in the corresponding section.

Two graphs are available: Active, sleeping, and inactive users and Daily, weekly, and monthly active licensed users.

Only users with a license other than Essential are taken into account in the 'Users' tab. Thus, the data may differ from the Global Dashboard which reports every user.

Active, sleeping, and inactive users

This graph is the 1-year equivalent of the Global dashboard Users graph, but only takes into account users with a license other than Essential:

• Active users are users who have used Rainbow at least once over the last 7 days.
• Sleeping users are users who have used Rainbow at least once but not over the last 7 days.
• Inactive users are users who have never used Rainbow.

Two views are available:

Daily, weekly, and monthly active licensed users

This graph shows you the number of licensed users active on that day for 'daily', within 7 days for 'weekly' and within 28 days for 'monthly'. For example, the value associated with 'daily' on January 28th is the number of users active on January 28th, while the value for 'weekly' (resp. 'monthly') on the same day is the number of users active at least once between January 22nd and January 28th (resp. between January 1st and January 28th).
