ODBC connector for updating the Rainbow Directory

If you make the connector so that it accesses the database via an ODBC data source, the connector would be totally manufacturer-independent. No matter in which database you maintain your contact data, you could import the data into Rainbow. All you have to do is install the ODBC driver on the respective server, create an ODBC DSN and store this DSN in the ODBC connector. 

In my opinion, this would be relatively easy to develop. You could modify the existing LDAP connector so that it queries the ODBC data source instead of the LDAP server. The import to Rainbow would be completely the same. 

That would be extremely helpful for us customers!
