    I feel this would be a great addition, it would encourage end users to use the desktop app more, especially if they are using a Bluetooth headset.

    We do not have access to the OXO's phonebook since Rainbow.

    Is this feature planned quickly?

    Yes, please make it possible in the Rainbow Desktop App:
    - for outgoing calls: search in the OXO shortdial list
    - for incoming calls: show names of the OXO short dial list

    This is an important feature for my customer!

    what's the current status on the R&D roadmap about this?

    I have also several customers with a lot of their customers in the collective directory of OXO and they want to use Rainbow desktop app as VOIP softphone.

    I think you can have your personal number on Rainbow side and collective speed dial number on branch side.Simply you can decide if use Rainbow or OXO Connect contacs by clicking on a tab.(Like in PIMphony environment).

    Rainbow has to be used to substitute PIMphony and really need to have this function active!

    ALE has phased-out 'My IC Office' (like a webPIMphony), but was a great OS independant WebApplication.

    I can understand pushing for Rainbow, but it's an absolute must to give RainbowWeb at least every feature you also have in PIMphony Pro and Team (and more).

    Customers are not just asking for a full directory search, they are simply demanding it.

    Shouldn't be too hard to fix, if ALE wants us to really push Rainbow to our customers.

    Why you all need the collective speedail of the oxo ?

    Use LDAP instead, can be used by Rainbow, PABX & business applications like mail.

     

    The customer has to maintain only 1 customer collectieve speedail / database.

    I agree with everyone on this subject. Being able to search the OXO Collective speed list from the Rainbow client should be a standard feature. I am somewhat surprised that this has been up for discussion for over 2 years without being introduced as an obvious feature. If we are going to get a customer to use the Rainbow client fully and only use it as their only voice terminal to call, this must work.

    OXO phonebook isn't accessible from rainbow only info from OXO is send to rainbow when receiving call in Rainbow.

    Any planning for this on the roadmap in the near future?
