Rainbow Web Client incorrectly selects Stereo Mixer as default audio input
BeantwortetRainbow version 2.105.7 on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 on HP Envy with Realtek audio.
By default, Stereo Mixer does not include the microphone, so the effect is that the microphone no longer works. The automatic switching of audio input when the headset is connected doesn't work either (only the output switches).
Stereo Mixer is selected even when the driver is disabled! - this would otherwise be a quick fix.
I can understand the interest in using Stereo Mixer to transmit application audio when sharing the screen. If you can change the active input device parameters to add into the stereo mix when sharing a screen, that would be useful. Otherwise a button would be better to swap between the microphone and the Stereo Mixer during screen sharing.

Hi Graham,
we made several changes on the audio device management and the behavior you describe should not occur. I suggest you ask your ALE installer to open a support ticket for you.
Before opening a support ticket, consult following article https://support.openrainbow.com/hc/en-us/articles/6045639518226-Devices-management-Loudspeaker-Microphone-and-Camera- to be sure the configuration on windows side is made correctly.
Regards,
