Rainbow web SDK related issue

I have a question about rainbow web SDK,

         I find out our UPAAS web page only support chrome/firefox/opera/safari, however, our Rainbow web SDK support browser as listed below

• Chrome stable channel and Chromium based browser (e.g. Opera)
• Firefox ESR and stable channel
• Microsoft Edge
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
• Safari

        My question is why UPAAS and web SDK support browser are different, whether UPAAS web page loaded special JS framework  or special techniques, so can’t support IE and edge browser

        I want to explain to my partner this question, so I looking forward to your quick reply, thanks
