or can I dial from outlook contacts directly even the customer is not added in my Rainbow"

    hi Dallan,

Again, if the user is invited and added in my rainbow network already, yes I am able to call him. The user is not in my company,

which means he is only available in my outlook contacts, not in my rainbow/company.

please confirm we can still dial the user?

by the way, what kind of license is required for outlook plugin? is the license to be obtained from rainbow side or microsoft outlook side ?

    please let us know ..

    Again

Is the company and User linked to a pbx?

in "communication" in the company settings

Then the Rainbow will tell the PBX to make the Call for the User to ANY number you tell it

    hi Dallan,

I am not sure  , whether  I miss some details.

User 1:  Company X - company X associated with PBX and Rainbow.

    User2: Company Y - Company Y - NOT Associated with Rainbow Company

User1 has the contacts of user 2 (including his mobile/other phone numbers) in outlook contact list alone ( user2 is not in the same company or rainbow company.) only in outlook contacts.

User1 wants to dial the User2 via outlook contact (search in rainbow and call or call from outlook itself)

    hope it helps..

    feature list : https://support.openrainbow.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001057424-Rainbow-Feature-List-and-Applications
Microsoft Tab - Prerequisite Enterprise subscription

You can either start a web audio session (WebRTC) with a Rainbow user or
start a phone call with any kind of contact (requires Rainbow hybrid services).

For telephone calls: (your PBX must be connected = hybrid services)

    - Phone number to dial can be selected if several numbers are available for that contact (numbers are retrieved from the Outlook Personal Folders or from the Exchange Global Address List).
    - Phone numbers that can be displayed (up to 5 menu items) are as follows (in this order of priority): “Business”, “Business 2”, "Company", “Mobile”, “Home”, “Home 2”, “Other” and “Assistant”.

    hi  again,

the OTCPC application is having an option to search the user (which is available on outlook) and dial to them.

The same option is requested by the user.

that is . if I could search the user in rainbow and dial to them, (the user is not invited and added in the rainbow- but available in my outlook contacts. )

    Hi Simon
Not sure I understand your request
I've created a contact in my Outlook called 'unknow"
I can search and call it with RBW inside Outlook

and I can search it and call it inside Rainbow

What else ? what are you looking for ?

this is a simple Outlook contact,
(sorry for the screens in FR)

If your rainbow user is linked to a OXE / OXO phone (Rainbow PBXAGENT) then you can call any number by marking the number and click on the hot-key like F6 defined in your rainbow settings.

This feature is available in all Windows applications if the Rainbow Desktop client is running.
