What is "Company Directory" tabs in admin account?

Hi,

I have been searching through all documents, but didn't found what is Company Directory purpose?

Would like to know what is it for?

What is the different between My Members and Company Directory?

  The company directory is a place where the Company Admin can add additional contacts that are not members of the company. Sort of like a Speed Dial list.  It will be useful for companies that do not have Rainbow interfaced with an Microsoft Azure Directory.

  At the moment you can only add contacts and begin to build the directory....there will be a user function with the directory with the next Release of Rainbow.

  I hope that helps to explain it.

  Thanks Brian for the reply. Can i know whether this function later will solve the issues when user change their profile name?

  FYI, Our Rainbow is not interfaced with Azure, currently we have an issues after a user change their profile name into any name, another user unable to search the contacts via the search bar.
  
  For e.g;

  johndoe@mail.com (Profile Name from John Doe changed to David)

  So if another user want to chat with John Doe they unable to find via search bar. and nobody know the name already changed to David.

  The problem is that if the user changes their name in the Profile then the old name no longer exists in Rainbow and can no longer be searched.

  Under what circumstances do people change their profile name?

  Hi Brian,

   

  Since the people are allowed to change their profile name, so it will be possible for the people to change the profile name according what they like.

   

  for e.g. Full Name is JOHN DOE. but he like the name TAN. so he change it.

   

  this will make impossible for other people to find JOHN DOE. So of course we cannot blame him since he able to change it.
