How can I use Rainbow without any physic devices?

Hello Rainbow-Community,

my company got Rainbow few weeks ago.

One of our requirements is, that we can use the CTI-Client without any physic devices.

That means, every employee has his own notebook and is able to sit in the whole company where ever you would like to sit. So in the future, a lot of employees don't need the ip phone anymore.

Therefore the question, how can I configure only the Rainbow user.

Without remote extension or tandem function.

 

I hope that you can help me out.

  I suggest you to carefully follow the TC2462 procedure to create a REX-only device.

  Hello Robin,

  you can configure the user directly as REX user (remote extension), no need to add a tandem.

  Can I configure them completely without tandem and multiline functions?

  I added the remote extension to rainbow but I am not able to do a internal or external call.

  Hi Robin,

  1. you need Nomadic Ghost sets in OXE , try to call the REX user internal from an other OXE user

  2. manage you GSM or private number in your profile to switch between the profiles in Rainbow, of course this requires a business or enterprise licence
